Thrilling podium for Montermini, Schiro in GT Open Race 1 at Budapest

#1 Villorba Ferrari 458 is third in race-2 after setting the fastest lap and building a stunning comeback

#1 Villorba Corse Ferrari 458 is the fastest GT car again in Budapest in the fourth round of the International GT Open. After a super Saturday, in Sunday's race-2 Andrea Montermini and Niccolò Schirò came in third place celebrating it on the podium, the sixth out of eight races in the season, after a stunning comeback behind the wheel of the supercar from Maranello managed by the Italian team led by Raimondo Amadio.

Started from the third row on the grid, Schirò controlled the first half of the race and then he left the 458 in the hands of Montermini. The Italian crew had to pay a mandatory 45-second handicap (right because of several podium finishes) and so the reigning champion got back on track in 14th position only. But Montermini started a storming comeback with lots of overtaking and setting the fastest lap of the race, making the Villorba 458 the first Ferrari at the finish line.
