P7 - JOHNNY CECOTTO

After a qualifying session that finished in seventh place and a penalty that forced Johnny to start from the tenth position in Race 1, the Venezuelan driver proved to have great determination, the same that allowed him to earn once again the point zone and above all the opportunity to start in the first row in the Sprint Race tomorrow. Race 1 started with a really good start that right from the first curve brought Johnny to P6. The first part of the race was quite tiring given that on Cecotto's car medium tires were put on choosing a Prime/Option race strategy that after the pitstop most definitely paid off. Indeed the race pace with the soft tires was always excellent, often even better than the leader's. Johnny arrives in this way to earn the 4th place position making several surpasses but a small error during the last lap, brought him off the track while he defended himself from Nars and this made him loose several positions closing the race in P7. Johnny and the Team's work in any case was surely satisfying and we are read to face at best the Sprint Race where we strive for a new victory.

P15 - SERGIO CANAMASAS

Sergio's weekend started off with difficulty from qualifying where the Catalan driver always found traffic not being able to terminate his good lap despite, during the first part of the track, he only had a three tenth gap from the pole. Qualifying forced Canamasas to start Race 1 from the back, and after a not perfect start and a small contact with another car, after the first lap, Sergio found himself in P25. The first part of the race saw Sergio struggle with the compound medium therefore the tire change was anticipated with respect to what was foreseen and 19 laps from the end of the race, Sergio gets back on the track with soft tires where he begins to pick up pace where the race rhythm was surely excellent driving with at least two and a half seconds faster than the race leaders. During the race, several reference points were collected as data for the Team.
