1960 Ex John Surtees Lotus 18

Not only a fantastic piece of motor racing history, but also an exceptionally competitive Formula Junior racing car, this beautiful Lotus 18 was raced by Surtees at Snetterton on September 17th 1960.

Surtees battled hard in the ten lap race against Jim Clark and Dick Prior, taking over second place at one point before losing it by spinning at the hairpin, eventually finishing fourth behind Prior, Clark and Arundell. With Surtees moving onto F1 duties, the car then came to be driven by Henry Taylor, who was called up for the British Empire Trophy race at Silverstone in October 1960.

A magnificent piece of history and presented in immaculate condition, this beautiful little Lotus 18 with current FIA HTP papers would make a fitting addition to any collection or would serve a new pilot well on the race circuits again.

Estimate (£): 65,000 - 75,000

1988 Lynx Eventer V12 HE

This truly is a rare car. One of just 67 custom built examples, this 1988 Lynx Eventer V12 HE is a highly useable classic, coming with factory fitted ABS, heated front seats including electrical lumbar adjustment, cruise control, air-conditioning and central locking.

Recently the car has undergone extensive work to ensure that it both drives and presents in superb condition. It is offered with an extensive history file which includes the complete build log held by Lynx, past MOTs and a copy of 'Classics Monthly' in which the car enjoyed a five page feature in May 2009.

This highly stylish car is sure to provide enjoyment and potential investment for the successful bidder.

Estimate (£): 32,000 - 38,000

1962 Porsche 356B T6 Super 90 Cabriolet

In September 1959 Porsche revealed their fully updated 356, known as the 356B. This left-hand drive example is finished in one of the sleekest colour combinations of silver with blue leather interior and blue hood.

In 2006, the body was subject to a restoration, with the paintwork presenting extremely well, having recently been treated to a bare metal respray. The hood is in excellent condition and the interior a true delight, complete with original radio and clock.

The 356 Super 90 Cabriolet was produced in very limited numbers. With prices of 356 speedsters beginning to surpass £250,000, this attractive open-top Porsche looks a very reasonable ownership proposition.

Estimate (£): 100,000 - 120,000

Sunday 27th July

1999 Marcos Mantaray

This Mantaray is incredibly rare, one of only 17 built in total and one of just 11 housing the 4.0 litre Rover V8 engine.

It has covered just 11,000 miles from new with just two owners and retains a UK V5 registration document. It has just had a 12 month MOT certificate granted, along with two new rear tyres fitted. Finished in the unusual colour of purple it has stood the test of time well, not least because it had the steel chassis galvanised when built, unlike some of the original cars. It starts well today, sounds eager to perform and offers an excellent driving position.

With such limited numbers built, and even fewer surviving, it’s a rare and special car with excellent provenance, offered by a one-time owner of Marcos. A fun and smart convertible for the summer that is now highly collectable.

Estimate (£): 16,000 - 20,000

 1989 Porsche 911 930 Turbo LE

A very special 911, this original right-hand drive 930 Turbo Limited Edition was sold new on 1st August 1989 by Rivervale, Berkshire. Finished in its original colour of Grand Prix White, the Linen cream interior is presented in beautiful condition and is befitting of car that has covered just 30,500 miles.

Supplied with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, original tyre inflator, MOT certificate until January 2015 and spare key, the car is in wonderful condition today. A full Porsche West London vehicle health check can be found in the history file, which was carried out in May 2014 and is available to any prospective purchasers.

The 930 Turbo was in production for an incredible 14 years and is the epitome of the 911 Turbo. These limited edition vehicles are arguably the most collectable and represent an exclusive and exhilarating ownership proposition.

Estimate (£): 75,000 - 100,000

1968 Ford Lotus Cortina Mk.II

Possibly the finest example of the marque in existence, this truly exceptional Lotus Cortina has been fully restored by the highly regarded and exclusive Lotus Outlaws over the last three years.

Since the completion of the restoration in June 2014, at an estimated cost of £40,000, the car hasn't even turned a wheel. Presented with the car is a superb history file containing photographic documentation of the restoration along with various bills and invoices for work undertaken.

The phrase "better-than-new" is often overused but we believe it certainly describes this car perfectly.

Estimate (£): 25,000 - 30,000
