Baja Hungary: Two MINI ALL4 Racing on the podium

Vasilyev defends his overall lead in the World Cup.MINI and the Monster Energy X-raid Team finished the seventh round in the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies on the podium. Orlando Terranova/Rolando Bernardo Graue (AR/AR) and Vladimir Vasilyev/Konstantin Zhiltsov (RU/RU) crossed the line in 2nd and 3rd position behind winner Nasser Al-Attiyah (QT) after a tough challenge of 600kms.

Five special stages on two days took the participants through extremely difficult terrain around the city of Pápa, about one hour’s drive to the north of Lake Balaton. The MINI ALL4 Racing once again proved to be very reliable and quick under very tough conditions.

“To finish second at the Hungarian Baja is a good result,” Terranova said after the rally event. “This rally is one of the shortest on the calendar but it’s far from being easy. Many parts of the stages were really muddy, so you could get stuck quite easily. But the MINI ALL4 Racing is really nice to drive, I had a lot of fun, it’s just a great car and really reliable. I didn’t have any problems.”

Aidyn Rakhimbayev/Anton Nicolaev (KZ/RU) finished the Hungarian Baja in a strong 5th position. Vasilyev/Zhiltsov are still leading the overall classification in the World Cup. The next round of the World Cup for Cross Country Rallies, the Baja Poland, will be held from 28 to 30 August.
