THE INAUGURAL SALON PRIVÉ SALE IS A ROARING SUCCESS

The inaugural Salon Privé Sale, hosted in partnership between Silverstone Auctions & Salon Privé, achieved some roaring results in London on Thursday.

Buyers from all over the world were in attendance at the stunning setting of Syon House for what promised to be a very special sale.

And it didn't dissapoint with a 61% sales rate, world record prices and a total sales value of £9.9 million.

1971 Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder- Pre-sale estimate £1,750,000-£2,250,000: SOLD £2,277,000

Topping the bill at Syon House was this stunning, beautifully restored and low mileage Daytona Spyder which achieved a world record price.

1963 Ferrari 250 GT/L 'Lusso' - Pre-sale estimate £1,750,000 - £2,000,000: SOLD £1,897,500

This incredibly beautiful and very rare Ferrari was one of our favourite lots of the sale and proved equally popular with those at Salon Privé.

1960 Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Series II Coupe- Pre-sale estimate £375,000-£425,000: SOLD £707,250

Taking pride of place next to the auction stage, this understated coupe was hard fought for, eventually selling for more than £300,000 over its lower estimate.

1951 Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn Coupe by Pininfarina- Pre-sale estimate £375,000 - £425,000: SOLD £425,500

 Truly unqiue, this one-off Rolls-Royce was, according to the current Rolls-Royce design team, the inspiraton for the modern day Wraith. It's beauty shone at the sale and it sold for a great sum.

1970 Range Rover - Chassis #001 - Pre-sale estimate £100,000-£140,00: SOLD £132,250

 Living up to its pre-sale hype and publicity, this historically significant British motorcar was loved by all at the sale but was in the end successfully purchased by an online bidder.

1973 Porsche 911 S Targa – Pre-sale estimate £115,000-£135,000: SOLD £195,500

 Proof that Porsche 911 prices continue to rise this lovely 1973 Porsche 911 S Targa, part of the Henry Pearman collated 'Stradale' Collection sold for an amazing sum and more than £80,000 over its lower estimate.
