MurphysMen ready for the battle of Le Castellet ELMS

On Saturday 13th September 2014 Murphy Prototypes return to the scene of their debut race victory just over 11 months ago at the Circuit Paul Ricard in the Le Castellet region of France this weekend for round four of the 2014 European Le Mans Series.Having endured a mixed season to date where the team has continued to show their race-winning pace, luck has not been on the side of the Irish team to turn this pace into podium results.Returning to the team this weekend will be Venezuelan driver Rodolfo González who continues to improve in his debut season in sportscars. Joining him will be the recently signed Caterham Formula 1 Reserve driver Nathanaël Berthon, who set the fastest time with the team in pre-season testing earlier this year. Joining the returning duo will be the newly signed Brazilian star Pipo Derani. Having tested with the team at the Dunlop tyre test recently at Snetterton, the former Macau GP runner up is looking forward to making his break into the sportscar scene. The event gets underway this weekend with Free Practice on Saturday. Qualifying gets Sunday’s proceedings under way with round four of the 2014 European Le Mans series getting underway at 13:00 GMT+1.Greg Murphy – Team Owner, Murphy Prototypes:“Paul Ricard will forever be a very special circuit for us having recorded our debut victory here last year. However now we must turn our attention to this year and I’m really looking forward to seeing how our three drivers work together. I think we’ve got a really strong line up and I certainly see no reason why we can’t be on the podium this weekend again”.
