The timetable for yesterday's race day of the ATS Formula 3 Cup in the support programme of the DTM could not be maintained due to challenging weather conditions. The Lausitzring was shrouded by dense fog. Consequently the helicopter could not have taken off in case of an emergency. This caused amendments in the timetable. Saturday's races were in part delayed until today.

It is still to be determined at what time it will take place. Race 2 had to be cancelled due to the tight timetable. Since the rescue helicopter could not have taken off if required, race control decided to delay some of the races until Sunday, with the main focus on all safety standards.

The racing weekend at the 3.240-km Lausitzring is the sixth of eight. Next weekend the young talents will contest at Sachsenring. The big finale will follow at Hockenheim in the support programme of the ADAC GT Masters at the first weekend of October.
