A substantial two-year restoration was then carried out by the vendor. Along with extensive body work the engine was replaced with a rebuilt and period correct Ford 289 hi-po engine, mated to a newly refurbished 4-speed top loader gearbox while the interior is largely original.

After years in storage this wonderful little car has been brought back to the road, with fresh interior trim, new tyres and very few other minor mechanical touches and is now offered for auction.
This stunningly unique 500 is an intricate piece of the Steyr/Fiat family and is a fantastic opportunity for both Steyr and Fiat collectors to acquire a special model.
