HandH Golf Day raises awareness for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research

H&H held their first Golf Day, which was a great success, at the Welcome Hotel & Spa in Stratford-upon-Avon recently. Raising awareness for the charity Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, everybody arrived early for the obligatory bacon sandwiches and coffee, and the teams were able to tackle the challenging course on a beautiful sunny day.

Footman James sponsored and presented the main trophy which was a Waterford Crystal Vase won with some excellent golf by Neil Fender of Fender and Broad Classic Cars, a seriously competitive left hander. The other two prizes, Nearest the Flag and Longest Drive, sponsored by Bauer Media, were won by David Brindley of Antiques Trade Gazette and one of the H&H representatives, Simon Hope respectively. All attendees were presented with a glass memento provided by Haslam Printers.

Prize winner David Brindley commented “I had a great day and what a cracking bunch of guys – superb”.

Martyn Raybould of Footman James commented “thank you for a most enjoyable day, it was a great pleasure to be in the company of such an august bunch of businessmen and golfers”.

The day was rounded off nicely with a superb dinner in the historic dining room of the Welcombe Hotel with lots of discussion surrounding when the next Golf Day would take place!
