ITV To Broadcast Goodwood Revival Meeting Highlights Programme

The 2014 Goodwood Revival Meeting will appear on television four times in September on the ITV network with an all-action highlights show dedicated to this year’s event.

The programme, which has been produced by Aurora Media, will bring the very best of the action from this year’s 17th running of the Revival to the small screen.

Internationally-renowned sports presenter Steve Rider and well-known Revival personality Amanda Stretton will host the show, which will feature the highlights from the world’s largest motor racing and vintage culture event.

The show will be broadcast on ITV4 on Wednesday, 24 September at 2100 and will be repeated on the same channel at 1625 on Saturday, 27 and 0955 on Sunday, 28 September. ITV will show the highlights on Monday, 29 September at 2340.

The featured races will be the star-studded opening part of the St Mary’s Trophy presented by Cazenove Capital Management, the RAC TT Celebration and the Glover Trophy, while brief highlights of other races will also be screened.

Amanda Stretton will be treated to a once-in-a-lifetime track guide from the legendary Sir Stirling Moss – who contested the very first race meeting held at Goodwood in 1948 – before taking part in the St Mary’s Trophy herself.

Three of her rivals from the race, past and present British Touring Car Champions Matt Neal, Gordon Shedden and Andrew Jordan, will share their experiences of the event while the poignant parades to mark both the 75thanniversary of RAF Westhampnett – the Goodwood Aerodrome’s former name – and 50 years since the ‘discovery’ of Sir Jackie Stewart at the Motor Circuit in 1964, will also feature.
