Jerez next stop for Ibran and Fontes in the CER

The Spaniards will take part in another event of the Spanish Endurance Championship held at the Circuito de Jerez. Their goal is to capitalise on results in Valencia where they managed to finish 2nd and 3rd driving the Ginetta G55 entered by Buggy Experience Racing Team.

Álvaro Fontes and Javier Ibran back on track in the penultimate round of the Spanish Endurance Championship to be held at the Circuito de Jerez. For Fontes it means a race on home round, and his most memorable moment throughout the season. Ibrán lies third in the D1 drivers' classification behind the wheel of the Buggy Experience Racing Team Ginetta G55 with 116,8 points, with Fontes fourth on 72,8 points as he skipped the inaugural round in Barcelona due to his commitments in the Radical European Masters.

“I welcome the fact that I will compete at Jerez track again, because I haven´t been there for a number of years. It is a good circuit for every driver. Our car is ready and I hope we won´t need to make significant set-up changes. It would be wonderful to win over there!”, comments Ibrán. His teammate Fontes confirms “it is my home event, and we want to win everything. I'm also very much looking forward to competing in front of my home crowd, let's see how many points we are able to earn this time”.

Saturday´s free practice sessions start run at 10.30 and 13.20. Qualifying session follows at 16.20. Finally both races are scheduled on Sunday at 09.50 and 13.50 and last around 50 minutes each.
