Walton penalised post V8 Ute qualifying, Sieders gifted Pole Start

Kris Walton has lost his fastest lap time and Pole position after a Parc Ferme infringement losing his fastest lap in Qualifying and will start from the second row for tomorrow Race 1 of the 2014 Australian V8 Ute Racing Series – fuelled by Hogs Breath Café at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, Saturday, 11th October.

David Sieders has moved into Pole position and earned himself some valuable ARMOR ALL Championship Points. This is the third year in a row that Sieders will start from Pole Position.“It’s great to be on pole, not a glorious way to be on pole I don’t’ agree with penalty. I’ve had some dodgy calls in the past and won’t fight it that’s for sure.

“I’ll be focusing on the race, if Kris gets behind me directly; pretty sure he knows what my intentions are after Sandown race 2 I won’t give up any positions to him so he’ll have that in back of mind.Ryan Hansford was also penalised, however will remain in third position. Rhys McNally will move from fourth to the front row alongside David Sieders and Walton will start from the second row alongside his teammate Hansford.

Nathan Pretty and Ryal Harris will remain on the third row.

All those penalised lost their fastest lap in Qualifying. Others penalised include: Jesse Dixon, Adam Marjoram, Jesse Dixon, Andrew Nicholls, Elliot Barbour and local lad Terry Nightingale.
