Motors TV Weekend Highlights November 8,9

We’re gearing up for another never-leave-the-sofa weekend on Motors TV with live prime time racing on Saturday evening and a host of highlights and season review shows to catch up on.

Our main event comes from Phoenix International Raceway where the NASCAR Nationwide Series contests its penultimate round of 2014.

Another solid display last time out in Texas inched 18-year-old rookie Chase Elliott a little closer to the title, but the JR Motorsports driver knows that one slip up could put team-mate Regan Smith back in contention ahead of next weekend’s Miami finale.

The Porsche Supercup campaign concluded at Circuit of The Americas last weekend when a double-header event decided the fiercely competitive one-make series.

The title battle effectively boiled down to a head-to-head between Earl Bamber and Kuba Giermaziak, with the Kiwi holding a slender advantage over his Polish rival. Supercup rookie Bamber was the form man heading to Texas, but the experienced Giermaziak should never be discounted at the wheel of a Porsche.

With 2014 drawing to a close we’ve got plenty of season review shows to ensure you get your racing fix throughout the winter months. This weekend’s highlight comes from the United SportsCar Championship which ran its inaugural campaign in 2014 following the merger of Grand-Am and the ALMS. With blue riband races at Daytona, Sebring and Road Atlanta the championship can boast an enviable calendar, not to mention the driving talents of several top endurance and single-seater racers.

As well as America’s premier long-distance series we’ve also got season review shows covering ADAC GT Masters, Euro V8 and the FIM MX World Championship. That’s grand tourers, tin-tops and motocross all covered this weekend.

On Saturday morning we’re switching our focus to F1 when we join the Inside Grand Prix crew ahead of Sunday’s crucial contest in Brazil. We’ve got plenty of analysis ahead of the season’s penultimate event at Interlagos, which will see Nico Rosberg trying to end team-mate and title rival Lewis Hamilton’s five-race winning streak.

Finally, we’ve got another chance to catch the best of the action from last weekend’s FIA World Endurance Championship encounter in Shanghai. The Chinese event saw the outright drivers’ title near resolution, but both LMP2 and GTE Pro closed up significantly ahead of the final two rounds in Bahrain and Interlagos – both of which will be live in full on The High Speed Television Channel.Saturday 8 November09:45 Inside Grand Prix – Brazil10:15 Porsche Supercup, Rd 9, Circuit of the Americas11:05 Euro V8 Series Season Review17:20 FIA World Endurance Championship, Rd 6, Shanghai (Highlights)20:30 LIVE NASCAR Nationwide Series, Rd 32, Phoenix02:15 FIM MXGP Season Review (Part 1)04:10 FIM MXGP Season Review (Part 2)Sunday 9 November09:00 UK Tractor Pulling, The Finals, Great Eccleston11:05 NASCAR Nationwide Series, Rd 32, Phoenix (Highlights)13:10 ADAC GT Masters Season Review16:20 United SportsCar Championship Season Review (Part 1)18:25 United SportsCar Championship Season Review (Part 2)
