Taylor aiming for ten out of ten on Roger Albert Clark Rally‏

Yorkshireman Charlie Taylor is aiming to create a special record on this year’s Roger Albert Clark Rally (28-30 November) by making it 10 top 10 finishes in a row from 10 starts on the Sunderland-based event.Taylor and his Ford Escort Mk2 have achieved a remarkable record on the rally to date, with nine finishes from nine starts since his debut on the 2005 event. Every one of those finishes has been in the top 10 overall and he has always completed the entire route, without the need to continue under super rally regulations.“I missed the first one in 2004, but we’ve finished every one since and the best result has been fourth overall in 2006, 2008 and 2011,” said Taylor, who will be co-driven this year by John Richardson.“We went and watched the first Roger Albert in 2004 and decided to build a car to do it the following year,” added Taylor, who has also enjoyed considerable success in the Northern Historic Rally Championship.
