Round 8: Cheviot Keith Knox Stages Rally, 9 November

Having already taken his fifth consecutive title, Damian Cole rounded off his season with victory on the final round, the Cheviot Keith Knox Stages, in his Ford Focus WRC.

With regular – and champion – co-driver Elliott Edmondson unavailable on this occasion, James Morgan stepped IN and guided Cole to a 59-second victory. Second overall were Simon Mauger and Ashley Trimble in their Escort MkII, while third place was enough to guarantee John Stone the runner-up spot in the championship .

Andy Fenwick and Andrew Roughead were fourth in the former’s recently acquired Focus WRC, while an Asphalt Championship top-five was completed by David Hardie and John McCulloch in their Impreza.
