The Iron Man HARD Enduro series sponsored by Putoline Oils is aimed at providing a challenge for riders looking for something a bit on the wild side. Round One was a great success, with competitors and spectators loving the HARD Enduro format. There will be a 1.5 hour, medium severity, Qualifier Event starting at 9am which determines the start order for the Main HARD Enduro which starts at 11.45am sharp.

In the Main Event the Expert class will be set a target number of laps to complete, this is around the 2 hour ride time mark; the rider who completes the target laps fastest, wins. When the first Expert has crossed the line the finish flag goes out, all other riders on track will be given a deadline to make it through Official Lap Scoring to be recorded as an Official Finisher. The course will be closed by the Clerk of the Course and any competitors who are still on track will be re routed by marshals back to the paddock. At Round One the deadline was around the 1 hour mark after the first Expert had finished.

The course will be tough going each and every lap, some wet muddy sections, an awesome downhill stream section fresh out of Jurassic park, but mainly lots of very technical, natural terrain to negotiate. This event will test riders of all abilities.

The Pateley Bridge venue (Gouthwaite House Farm - HG3 5AD) offers a variety of terrain; one thing is for sure there will be some surprises for ALL riders. So if you are a Sportsman who just wants to be in the event fighting for survival, a Trials rider wanting something more adrenaline fuelled, or an Extreme enthusiast; one thing is for sure the key word is in the event title, HARD.

There will be a number of check points around the course at key points where riders must pass through a stamp check, for example at the top of hill climbs, and at the end of stream sections to make sure fair competition takes place.

The Organisers provide pre printed Iron Man Hard Enduro numbered backgrounds which are included in the entry fee.

Entries are strictly limited. You must enter via the website. All entries require a £25 non returnable booking fee to secure an entry on the start line, the balance to be paid on the day. Or you can pay the full amount via Debit Card over the phone.
