Wales’ leading race circuit will welcome a cavalcade of legendary British sportscars next April, as the MSA Spring Classic speeds into Pembrey in the track’s 25th anniversary year.The third edition of the tremendously popular two-day, non-competitive motoring tour for classic cars will take in the Vale of Glamorgan, the breathtaking mountain scenery of the Brecon Beacons and the idyllic coastline of the Gower Peninsular over the weekend of 25-26 April, 2015.The relaxed event traditionally includes an element of motor sport for those who enjoy the thrill of opening the throttle that bit further.BARC-run Pembrey – which hosted its first race meeting in 1989 and has in the past been a popular venue for Formula 1 testing due to its variety of fast sweeping corners and tight hairpins – will duly open its gates to an anticipated 100 iconic cars on Saturday, 25 April as part of what is expected to be another sell-out event.The 2014 entry list included some of the most celebrated marques of the British sportscar industry from Aston Martin, Austin Healey, Bentley, Jaguar and Lotus to MG, Morgan, Sunbeam, Triumph and TVR. They were joined by other illustrious names from around the globe, like Porsche, Mercedes, Ford and Chevrolet.“We’re delighted that the MSA Spring Classic will be calling into Pembrey,” said circuit manager Phil Davies. “To see so many of these incredible cars on-track will be a rare and phenomenal spectacle and one that no classic car enthusiast can afford to miss!”
