Christodoulou returns to Dubai 24hrs‏

Ram Racing will make its return to competitive racing next month when the former British Formula Renault Champion, Adam Christodoulou joins the team as it contests Dubai 24 Hours in its brand new Mercedes SLS AMG GT3.

The team, best known for its 2013 European Le Mans Series LMGTE championship win, took delivery of the new 6.2-litre V8 machine ahead of the 24H Series season-opener and joining them in the car are Adam Christodoulou, who is no stranger to the series having won Barcelona 24 Hours outright and coming 3rd in Dubai 2014, along with other team members Thomas Jäger (DE), Tom Onslow-Cole (GB) and Cheerag Arya (IN).“We wanted to pull together a team that we feel could win the race overall and I’m confident that we have done that,” commented Ram Racing’s team principal Dan Shufflebottom. “It’s a competitive field but our professionals are among the best".

This will be the first competition for the team since it contested the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, the third round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, in early 2014.

The 95 car race starts Friday 9th January at 2pm.

Christodoulou commented, "I cant wait for this year to kick off, it feels like its been a long off season and Dubai comes with some new challenges this year. I'm with a different team, Ram racing whom are new to the SLS but far from new to racing and now everyone has to run the new Hankook tyres, so this will change things, but everyones in the same boat."

He added, "I believe we've got one of the strongest winning packages out there, we've got the car, an experienced team and the driver line up to make this happen. I can't wait for the week to start."
