Struan Moore has signed with Hong Kong based KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) for the 2015 Japanese F3 season.
Struan graduates from a breakthrough year in 2014 where he contested the highly competitive BRDC F4 Championship with Lanan Racing. The British driver enjoyed an impressive season with 7 podiums and a feature race win, as well as a victory in a one off round of the MRF Championship in Bahrain at the end of 2014.
KCMG is an international motorsport group established in 2007 with its headquarters in Hong Kong, with operations extending across the Asia Pacific region and Europe. Apart from JF3, the team also competes in numerous championships in Japan, namely Super Formula, Japan Formula 4, Porsche Carrera Cup Japan and runs a successful LMP2 campaign in the World Endurance Championship.
Struan said about his race seat:
“After a successful 2014, I’m so pleased to be joining such a well-established and growing team. I’m looking forward to the challenge and testing my skills against some top class drivers. With KCMG, we’ve mapped out a clear development path with opportunities in WEC alongside my Japanese F3 commitments. I can’t wait to get my F3 testing underway”.
Paul Ip, KCMG Founder said:
“We’re delighted to add Struan to our driver roster. We have kept an eye on his development throughout 2014 and have been impressed with his race-craft at such a young age. In Bahrain we were in attendance with our WEC team and saw Struan show his potential with P1 in Race 2 which left us in no doubt we’ve picked the right man”.
