Foxy new TV deal for V8 Utes in 2015

The Australian V8 Ute Racing Series television coverage is set to be expanded significantly in 2015, with LIVE coverage to include all practice sessions, qualifying and all races from each of the eight V8 Ute Series rounds, across a combination of Fox Sports and Network Ten platforms.

The season will kick off at the Clipsal 500 event, 26 February – 3 March, with practice, qualifying and all 3 races televised live from the Adelaide Parklands circuit.

Two live races will be telecast from each of the six major events on TEN, with a one our highlights show following each round to be also televised on the free to air Network. International coverage will also continue through New Zealand, Motors TV Europe and Speed Online USA. Category Manager of SPHERIX Craig Denyer is really looking forward to the move.

“This is a major coup for the category. It is definitely a real bonus for fans to have all on track sessions televised live on Fox Sports, as well as the major events televised live through Network Ten. In a world where the media landscape now offers such diversity, this really ticks a lot of the boxes,” said Denyer. “Also for the first time, race fans will be able to see every practice session, qualifying or race live on their phone or tablet while on the go, which gives everyone tremendous access to the V8 Ute action.”

The coverage will also be expanded internationally with highlights of each V8 Ute round broadcast on Motorsport Mundial, a syndicated weekly motorsports programme telecast to a potential audience of over 500 million households. Along with Motors TV extensive coverage through the UK and Europe, Motorsport Mundial will deliver significant new audiences for the V8 Utes series through Asia, Japan, China, the Middle East and South America.

The Series will continue with an eight Round format, with all supports on the V8 Supercar Program, and will mirror the same calendar as the past two years including; Round 1 Clipsal 500 (Adelaide), Round 2 Perth, Round 3 Darwin, Round 4 Townsville, Round 5 Sandown, Round 6 B
