WOLVERHAMPTON have confirmed American star Ricky Wells as the final member of their 2015 Elite League line-up.23-year old Wells has been a regular for Monmore club since joining in 2011, but lost his place in late July last year as part of a middle-order team re-shuffle before impressing in a guest appearance.Promoter Chris Van Straaten said: “The last member of the team was always going to be a key position for us, there are several riders available but we’ve decided to go with Ricky after talking with him about the reasons why he lost his place last year.“We got that fire back into him when, having dropped him, we saw him back at Monmore Green a couple of times and he was exactly the rider that had started the season. I still feel there’s a lot more to come from Ricky, and hopefully it will be a successful year for him in what we’ve said is a critical year for the club.”

THEO Pijper will stage his Testimonial meeting at Edinburgh on the opening night of the season at Armadale, Friday March 20.Dutch star Pijper is the only rider who has been a title winner with both Edinburgh and Glasgow, and it is hoped the event will have support throughout the Scottish speedway fraternity.Pijper, who has also ridden for nearby Berwick, is also a big name in longtrack and grasstrack events over Europe although he has not currently signed to race in the UK in 2015.
