New V8 Ute fan friendly App online for Adelaide launch

The Australian V8 Ute Racing Series will launch a new feature for the 2015 season, a Track Buddy GPS function, enabling users to find their friends, important locations including the V8 Utes paddock, on track session times and where they can meet drivers during an event.

The App will be launched at Round 1 of the 2015 Australian V8 Ute Racing Series at the Clipsal 500 at the end of the month, and Managing Director of Track Buddy, Nathan Stacey is looking forward to it.

“It’s been a lot of work bringing the App together with Australian V8 Ute Racing. Being a fan myself, I believe this is something that all spectators are craving at an event. It’s not always easy finding your way around, especially at the bigger events like the Clipsal 500 so it will be a great place to launch it and we’re hoping to bring easy access to all V8 Ute and motorsport fans,” said Stacey.

The App will have direct links to the V8 Ute Results, live racing through Fox Sports, Driver Profiles, News and Social Media channels. Friends can be found on track through the Track Buddy GPS function, and fans can also receive alerts for all V8 Ute sessions including driver signings on and off the track, which will all be activated by Round 2 at the Perth SuperSprint.

Category Manager Bill West believes this is something that the sport has been yearning for and is excited that the V8 Ute Racing Series will debut the new feature at one of the biggest motorsport events in the Country.

“We are looking forward to launching the App, we believe the new GPS system is a great application and will be very helpful for our partners and fans alike to find us at the track and also keep up to date with when we are on track,” said West.

The App will be available from all mobile devices Thursday, 26th February for only $0.99c on Android devices and $1.27 on Apple devices.

In 2015, all V8 Ute practice, qualifying sessions and races will be broadcast live across a combination of the Fox Sports and TEN platforms, with digital coverage through Foxtel Go. International coverage has been extended to include over 40 countries. The series will feature 24 races over 8 rounds, all on the V8 Supercar calendar.
