Date change for Sepang 12 Hours

now on December 13th 2015‏

To facilitate all logistic aspects of the Sepang 12 hours, the date for the 2015 edition of the Asian endurance classic has been changed to December 13th. This will give teams from the different series in Australasia and Europe the opportunity to thoroughly prepare the event.

The 2015 edition of the Sepang 12 Hours is set to be a major event on the motorsports calendar. The endurance race has drawn the interest of several important GT teams from across the globe.

“Since the announcement last month that SRO will be partnering with SIC to co-promote and co-organise the 2015 edition of the Sepang 12 Hours, interest from teams and drivers across the globe has been strong”, says Benjamin Franassovici, Project Manager of the Sepang 12 Hours.

“Commitment to take part in this end-of-season challenge has not only come from teams and drivers in Asia but from Australia and Europe too. Taking this into account, it has been decided with SIC to push the date a week later, to December 13th, to facilitate the transportation of cars taking part in different series in Australasia and Europe.”

“We are very excited to say that the interest from GT (GT3/GTC/GT4) and Touring car teams has been above all expectations and we look forward to making the 2015 edition of the Sepang 12 Hours a great event, a true Asian equivalent of the Total 24 Hours of Spa. We are finalising the draft regulations this week, together with the entry forms for interested participants.”

More exciting information on the 2015 Sepang 12 hours will follow over the coming weeks.
