Hisense has broadened its involvement in Nascar by agreeing deals with Joe Gibbs Racing and the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The consumer electronics manufacturer will sponsor driver Denny Hamlin's Joe Gibbs Racing entry at two Nascar Xfinity Series events in 2015.
It has also agreed to be title sponsor of May's Xfinity Series race at Charlotte.
The deals were announced as Hisense made its debut as a Nascar sponsor, taking naming rights to Saturday's Xfinity Series race at Atlanta.
Title sponsorships in the Xfinity Series typically sell for US$250,000, while single-race primary sponsorships in Nascar’s second-tier series are estimated to be worth around US$200,000.
“As an emerging brand in the US, Hisense is excited to develop this partnership with Nascar for 2015,” said Dr. Lin Lan, a vice president of Hisense Company Ltd.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to get in front of the Nascar consumer and integrate our brand into an exciting sport that blends technology, teamwork and racing. We have a great line-up of products for 2015 and are committed to continuing providing best-in-class consumer electronic and home appliance solutions for consumers.”
The Nascar Xfinity Series Hisense 300 is scheduled for Saturday 23rd May.
