POOLE have completed the line-up for their Elite League title defence with the signings of Polish duo Maciej Janowski and Kacper Gomolski.Janowski captained the Pirates to their 2014 Grand Final win and returns as skipper this season, whilst Gomolski is back in British racing after previous spells with Peterborough and Swindon.Promoter Matt Ford said: “Magic did a great job for us at the business end of the season and took to the captain's job really well. We agreed terms way back last season, in fact he was the first rider I spoke to. I am delighted to have him riding for us and I wanted him to lead the team again.“Kacper is a vastly improved rider from the one that rode for Swindon back in 2013. When riders like Chris (Holder), Davey (Watt) and Magic are all raving about him then that's enough to convince me. Add in the fact that Kacper joins us on a bargain 3.94 then he could well be the key to a successful season as it is all about riders who can increase their average and there is no doubt in my mind that he can certainly achieve that.”

BIRMINGHAM have secured a new title sponsorship deal for their return to racing this season. The club have welcomed Surestop, the modern alternative to the brass stopcock, who are based locally in the city, to put their name to the Brummies.MD Mark Vurlan said: “I was made aware about the opportunity to sponsor Birmingham Speedway by my cousin. As a speedway supporter, he was telling me about what had happened to the club last year and what's gone on since then. “I was aware then that there was an opportunity for the business to help Birmingham in their hour of need if you like so I sat down and had a good think about it. I met with Joe McLaughlin, the club's commercial manager and I was instantly impressed with everything.”
