Richardson Racing has confirmed that it will field a single car in the opening rounds of the new MSA Formula series at Brands Hatch this weekend.Louise Richardson will hit the track for the Grantham-based team, which is one of just twelve to secure an entry into the new-look single-seater series.MSA Formula replaces Formula Ford - where Louise produced a series of impressive performances last season - on the British Touring Car Championship support package for 2015.While Richardson Racing has tested a number of drivers during the off-season, Louise will be making her debut at the wheel of the new Ford EcoBoost-powered machine when she hits the track for Friday testing ahead of the Brands Hatch race weekend. With many of her rivals on track having taken part in multiple tests over the winter, it means Louise goes into the opening event of the season on the back foot, although she remains optimistic about her chances when the action gets underway.Despite the fact that her lack of time in the car means the weekend will be something of a public test session, Louise will hope to bring home three solid finishes and push towards the points positions in what seems set to be a hugely competitive field."Having not been in a car since the final round of Formula Ford last year, I'm really looking forward to finally getting back on track,” she said. “I'm hopeful that we won't be too far off the pace but we'll just have to see where we are come Friday morning and take it one step at a time from there.“Ideally I just want to secure three good finishes and have a solid base to build on for the next round."Although Louise - who will be visited by Sky Sports during the weekend for an upcoming feature - is the only driver in action for Richardson Racing at Brands Hatch, talks are ongoing with other potential drivers about the team’s second seat for round two at Donington Park later in the month.
