SHEFFIELD skipper Simon Stead struck another impeccable maximum to lead his side to a 47-40 win over Redcar at Owlerton. The Tigers hero continued his sensational form to ensure his side overcame a tough test to make it two League Cup wins out of two.But they lost Josh Bates early on as he felt the effects of a nasty spill in Heat 2, whilst Andre Compton also experienced a torrid evening with two exclusions and a fall and is rated 50/50 for the return on Friday night.Sheffield co-promoter Damien Bates said: “Josh is hurting so we will see how he is in the morning. We are just pleased to come away with the win and we go to Redcar looking to do the same, it should be a good meeting."
