SHEFFIELD skipper Simon Stead struck another impeccable maximum to lead his side to a 47-40 win over Redcar at Owlerton. The Tigers hero continued his sensational form to ensure his side overcame a tough test to make it two League Cup wins out of two.But they lost Josh Bates early on as he felt the effects of a nasty spill in Heat 2, whilst Andre Compton also experienced a torrid evening with two exclusions and a fall and is rated 50/50 for the return on Friday night.Sheffield co-promoter Damien Bates said: “Josh is hurting so we will see how he is in the morning.
