Lime Rock Park: T-minus 44 days and counting

To what?

Lime Rock’s first big spectator race weekend of the year, that’s what!

The dates are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 22, 23 and 24.

The official name of the event is “Lime Rock Season Opener featuring the Trans Am ‘Next Dimension 100@Lime Rock & the Sixth Annual Sunday Royals Car Show.’”

If you forget the weekend’s official name, that’s okay. All you have to know is this: We’ve got six great races – two on Friday, four on Saturday – plus the best all-comers car show in the Northwest Corner thanks to the Sunday Royals Car Show.

(Buy general admission tickets now and you’ll save up to $20: A Full Weekend Ticket is only $35 now, compared to $55 at the Gate. Click here to take a look at the Advance Sale pricing.)

As the kids say, Trans Am has blown up this year: The field is so big that we had to split Trans Am into two races. It’s looking like 30+ cars for both Next Dimension 100@Lime Rock races!

Trans Am is the longest-running road racing championship in the U.S. It’s the high-horsepower playground for full-race Camaros, Mustangs and Challengers, banging fenders for 100 racing miles. Not to mention Corvettes, Porsche 911s, Vipers and BMW M3s.

We’ve got four more races on the docket, too: Two Lime Rock Drivers Club Spec Miata Race Series and two Vintage Sports Car Club of America (VSCCA) races.

Trans Am and event sponsor 3-Dimensional Services are bringing a very cool display booth for the Midway – Trans Am’s spectacular history as well as its bright future will be featured – and the extremely popular Lime Rock Trans Am Autograph Grid Walk has already been scheduled for just before noon on Saturday. (See full schedule below.)

Remember, free admission for veterans and active military (and their immediate families), and kids 12 and under are free, too. Parking is free and paddock access is free.

Racing’s Rite of Spring is the Lime Rock Memorial Day Weekend – and we hope to see you here!
