Wheeler Dealers' Mike Brewer and Edd China support Drive It Day

The stars of Discovery Channel’s Wheeler Dealers, Mike Brewer and Edd China are giving their support to this year’s Drive It Day initiative held on Sunday 26th April, organised by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC).

Mike and Edd, who have been involved in the buying, restoring and selling of over 100 vehicles on the globally renowned TV show, are inviting classic car owners to get behind the wheel and drive their classics to Mike’s own car showroom Mike Brewer Motors in Sheffield for a ‘Drive It Day Drop In’.

“This is a great way of encouraging people to get out in their classics and meet other enthusiasts,” says Mike. “I’ll be driving my 1965 Mustang Fastback from Warwickshire up to Sheffield, god knows what Edd will be driving, and we hope others will join us too. We’ll have the kettle on, plenty of prizes to give away and some great cars on display.”

The FBHVC launched Drive It Day in 2005 and it has quickly escalated over the years with the support of the classic community with estimates of around 250,000 historic vehicles on the road.

David Whale, Chairman of the FBHVC, said: “We’re thrilled to have Mike and Edd’s support for Drive It Day, given their involvement in the motoring world. Support such as there’s will help us get a new band of enthusiasts involved and encourage more people to keep our motoring heritage where it should be…on the road!”

Enthusiasts are invited to join Mike and Edd at Mike Brewer Motors from 11am on Sunday 26th April. The showroom can be found at363 Bramall Lane, Sheffield, S2 4RN.

Mike added: “The FBHVC works tirelessly to support and uphold the freedom of use of historic vehicles on the road, looking after the needs and representing the interests of classic vehicle owners to politicians, government and legislators in the UK and Europe. Its only fair that in return, classic car owners, such as me, give them the same support in return.
