Edwin Glasgow CBE QC appointed to BTCC Selection PanelThe Motor Sports Association (MSA) can confirm the appointment of internationally reputed barrister Edwin Glasgow CBE QC to the Selection Panel considering proposals to run the MSA British Touring Car Championship.The MSA launched a tender process in January for the organisation and promotion of the BTCC from 1 January 2017, for a minimum period of five years. The deadline for submissions expired on 12.00 noon on 10 April. Consideration of the tenders is now under way at Motor Sports House.Rob Jones, MSA Chief Executive, said: “Edwin is currently President of the FIA International Tribunal and Vice-Chairman of the FIA International Court of Appeal. He was also Chairman of the Financial Reporting Review Panel and is a renowned lawyer. His involvement will be of great benefit to – and further enhance the independence of – the Selection Panel considering tenders to run one of the most high-profile championships in UK motor sport.”The other Selection Panel members are: Rob Jones, MSA Chief Executive; Simon Blunt, MSA General Secretary; John Symes, MSA Technical Director; and Cheryl Lynch, MSA Race, Speed & Kart Executive.
