Rounds 1 & 2: Silverstone, 24-25 April
Gavin Bennett secured two wins in the opening rounds of this year’s championship after his closest rivals struck trouble.
Reigning champion Paul Platt chased Bennett in race one until carburation issues dropped him back. He then retired on the final lap, having run out of fuel.
In race two Bennett hit the front from the start while Platt didn’t make the first corner when a spark plug failed. Dan Clark, last year’s runner-up, secured second place in race two after being knocked off in race one by Platt.
