Isaac Tutumlu will continue to race at the highest European level as he has confirmed participation in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo driving the Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 of Leipert Motorsport. Tutumlu will team up with Finland´s Jesse Anttila.
Leipert have made use of Tutumlu´s driving skills in the Gulf 12 hours in Abu Dhabi and the 24 hours of Dubai, where they came second in class last year. After the Lamborghini Super Trofeo season starting at Monza, with Tutumlu unable to attend the event, five other rounds will take place at famous venues such as Silverstone (22-24 May), Paul Ricard (19-21 June), Spa-Francorchamps (22-26 July), Nürburgring (18-20 September) and Sebring (19-20 November). The classic American track will host the World Finals of the brand located in Sant´Agata Bolognese and Tutumlu will also take part at this international event.
“It is fantastic to confirm this racing program for 2015, after some difficult months when we were forced to cease Barzani Racing Team activities but I hope to be back with them in the near future. First of all, I would like to thank Leipert Motorsport and Lamborghini for giving me the opportunity to race in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. They have made an incredible effort. Of course, I have to mention my sponsors Palo Wood and Bonasport and two new additions like Brandenwurst and Zitro Creative Agency”, Tutumlu explains obviously happy as “this racing car, the Huracán, is quicker than GT3 vehicles and even DTM is not much faster. It is an amazing car and there are drivers pretty experienced such as Daniel Zampieri, Patric Niederhauser, Edoardo Liberati, Sergio Campana, Patrick Kujala,… I am looking forward to driving the Lamborghini and fight with them. Besides my teammate Jesse is a young gun and in my opinion we will be a very competitive pair”.
