(SPEEDWAY 1 - TUESDAY REVIEW)

SWINDON extended their winning home run with a hard fought 47-43 victory over Elite League leaders Coventry. The home side fought back from an early four point deficit to go on and win by four points themselves in front of a bumper

Blunsdon crowd, many of whom had taken advantage of a £5 ticket offer for the televised fixture. The Bees lost No.1 Hans Andersen with a hand injury and possible concussion after a heavy first-bend spill in Heat 13, with the

Robins securing victory with a 5-1 from guest Dakota North and Grzegorz Zengota in Heat 14 after Jason Garrity had been

disqualified to the anger of visiting boss Gary Havelock. But the Bees did gain some consolation with a last-heat 5-1 from Danny King and Chris Harris ensuring they returned with a

league point. They are now nine points clear at the top, with Swindon moving back into the top four after a sixth successive

Blunsdon victory.Robins boss Alun Rossiter said: “The track was different to how it normally is early on and it caught us out a bit, but the

boys dug deep, we came strong as the meeting went on and we managed to get another win on the table.“Everyone had some good rides, all the boys scored some vital points and I'm glad Dak proved to be an excellent choice of

guest.“It was great to see so many people here, it was a good meeting in front of the TV cameras and credit has to go to Coventry for

that as well and in all honesty they deserved their league point tonight.”Havelock said: “I’m very frustrated over the decisions we’re getting and I can probably list ten or fifteen situations this

season already - but Heat 15 showed once again the team spirit in the camp.“It was basically the two riders who we had left, and they went out and got a 5-1 to get us a point. We’re still up on top of

the league, which is where we want to be.”(SPEEDWAY 2 - WEDNESDAY PREVIEW)

POOLE return to action at home for the first time in three weeks as they face a return fixture against Leicester on Wednesday. The Pirates won in the East Midlands on Bank Holiday Monday and will be at full strength for the clash with a Lions team who

hand a debut to ex-Poole man Sam Masters. The visitors have three guests elsewhere in their line-up with Nick Morris, Richard Lawson and Charles Wright coming in as

Grzegorz Walasek and Josh Auty are injured and Lewis Bridger has retired.Poole promoter Matt Ford said: “Norrie Allan has had a tough time trying to get a team together due to a number of reasons but

he certainly has been clever in finding guests for the occasion who can all score well at our place.“His last minute selections look to make the Lions extremely competitive. We know that Doyley (Jason Doyle) will feel bruised

after being outdone on his home track by Magic (Maciej Janowski) and that will fire him even more, if he ever he needed it.”Meanwhile Cradley take an eight-point lead into the second leg of their National League KO Cup tie with Stoke at Perry Barr. Will Pottinger’s men will be aiming to bounce back from the weekend defeat at Eastbourne and the boss is keen to see his side

cut out mistakes when in scoring positions. He said: “We’ll be looking to finish the job after an impressive eight point win at Loomer Road in the first leg.“But we must stay focussed and hang on to points when we have them, we’ve thrown too many away this season.”Stoke are without the unavailable Ryan MacDonald, with Lee Geary stepping into the Potters team at reserve.Manager Malcolm Vasey said: “Cradley are a very good side and will take some beating, but we are going there with nothing to

lose. The pressure is off so to speak, and we can relax and hopefully we can cause a monumental shock. “We will of course being doing our level best to cause the upset but no-one expects us to get anything from the meeting, so

being honest the pressure is on them not to lose.”

REDCAR boss Jitendra Duffill admits the Bears are considering options for changes with Hugh Skidmore likely to be out for

longer than expected. The Teesside club brought in Adam Roynon as cover on a 28-day deal but that is due to expire in the near future.Duffill said: “I've been in regular contact with Hugh since his accident and after speaking to him last week it seems he will

be missing for longer than we had hoped. The main issue he has is the nerve damage that he sustained and he still has very

little strength and limited movement in the affected arm. “Our combined team average has dropped considerably since the release of the new green sheet averages and we are now 4.80

points under the allowed limit. Added to that and Hugh's delayed return, Adam Roynon's 28 day loan is nearing its completion so

we have some important decisions to make at the moment about how we are going to move forward from here.”

EASTBOURNE sensation Bradley Wilson-Dean has committed to the Eagles and will not be joining a Premier League club.Wilson-Dean has been the subject of several enquiries but racing at the higher level would cause him to miss several matches

for his National League side, and he will instead look to step up next season whilst also remaining at Arlington.Chairman Martin Dugard said: “He would have missed four matches as things stand and that is without rain-offs. That's about

half of our remaining home fixtures. Bradley is a real crowd pleaser at Arlington and it would not be possible for us to find a

suitable replacement.”The Eagles have also been boosted by the news that Richard Andrews will return this weekend after receiving confirmation that

he suffered ligament damage rather than a broken thumb in a crash at Mildenhall.
