FIM Speedway World Cup Final team line-ups confirmed

MONSTER ENERGY SWC FINAL TEAMS

The line-ups for the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup Final at legendary Danish venue Vojens Speedway Center on Saturday night (June 13) have been confirmed.

Hosts, holders and title favourites Denmark are spearheaded by triple world champion Nicki Pedersen and three-time national champion Niels-Kristian Iversen, who is named as captain.

FIM Speedway Grand Prix first reserve Peter Kildemand – second in last year’s Nordic SGP at Vojens – and Kenneth Bjerre complete the side.

Event 1 winners Sweden make one change from the team which earned qualification at Gniezno last Saturday with former SGP star Fredrik Lindgren replacing Peter Ljung. Skipper Andreas Jonsson, Antonio Lindback and Linus Sundstrom retain their places.

Australian team manager Mark Lemon keeps faith with the four riders who triumphed in Event 2 at King’s Lynn on Monday, with skipper Chris Holder, Jason Doyle, Troy Batchelor and Nick Morris aiming to land the nation’s first gold medal since 2002.

And six-time SWC winners Poland stick with the four riders who were victorious in Thursday’s Race Off at Vojens. SGP rider Maciej Janowski captains a team also featuring Przemyslaw Pawlicki, Bartosz Zmarzlik and Krzysztof Buczkowski.

Print-at-home tickets for the Monster Energy SWC Final are still available online. Visit http://www.billetlugen.dk/en/event/2015-monster-energy-fim-speedway-wold-cup-finale or buy your ticket at Vojens tomorrow.
