Isaac Tutumlu is ready to get back behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Huracán entered by Leipert Motorsport for a new round of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. Tutumlu, teaming up with Austria's Tweraser, has his sights set firmly on a podium result, an ambitious goal with 30 cars on track.
Tutumlu made a positive debut in the series last month with 5th place on Saturday teaming up with Gerhard Tweraser. In Race 2 a rival ruled Tutumlu out of the race when he was the fastest man on track - despite tricky weather conditions - and running in podium contention for most of his stint.
“The Lamborghini Hurarán is as good as I was told, a high-performance race car and I'm looking forward to driving it again. I debuted at Paul Ricard two years ago in the International GT Open and we almost won the race. Porsche alternator issues prevented us from taking race win” Tutumlu comments.
For Paul Ricard, Tutumlu underlines that “I have gained more experience behind the wheel of the Lamborghini, unlike Silverstone, when I qualified the car without previous mileage. We expect a trouble-free practice sessions on Friday this time, so we would be able to work on set-up and prepare for both races properly. I really love Paul Ricard, because its layout is so fast. It is good for overtaking maneuvers and suits my driving style. I think we shall be competitive. Our goal is to finish on the podium, but I am aware it is an ambitious goal”.
Two free practice sessions will take place on Friday, they both serving as a dress rehearsal for Saturday´s qualifying session at 10.05. Race 1 is due to start on Saturday at 14.30 and Race 2 at 10.50 on the following day.
