Earlier this week the Mahindra Racing Formula E Team completed two days of successful testing at the Dunsfold Park test track in the UK. The test marked the first time that Mahindra Racing’s 2015 challenger, code named the M2Electro, broke cover and turned a wheel.
Over the course of the two days current racer Brazilian Bruno Senna was behind the steering wheel and in action as he got to grips with the new car.
As well as racing in the FIA Formula E Championship, Mahindra Racing have been hard at work developing their new car for the second season of the exciting fully electric series. Their hard work and preparations came to a head this week as the M2Electro car completed its first lap.
With Senna behind the wheel, and the support of Mahindra Racing engineers, the two day test around the Surrey track was a success giving the team an opportunity to work on and evaluate the season two challenger.
Team Principal Dilbagh Gill who was on hand during the test said, ‘It was a very proud moment for the entire Mahindra Racing Formula E Team. This is the culmination of all the hard work and determination of the team. It was very exciting to see Bruno on track and in our second generation Formula E car. The two days of dry testing gave us the perfect opportunity to test the car and obtain even more valuable information as we look ahead to the second season of the innovative Formula E series.’
The team will next be out on track for the double-header season finale in London held in the historic Battersea Park.
