Trident GP2 Sprint review

There was just a little that Trident could do in the GP2 Series Sprint Race at Red Bull Ring, where Raffaele Marciello ended up just shy of the top-10 and René Binder settled for the 15th position. Both drivers were starting in the middle of the pack and there haven't been many occasions for them to aim for a better result.11 - RAFFAELE MARCIELLO

After a tough Race 1 completed in 15th place, Marciello lined-up on the 8th row on the grid. When the lights came off, Lello had a good getaway that enabled him to gain positions. Then he got stuck behind a slower car which proved tough to pass, and that slowed him down throughout the whole distance. He eventually ended his Austrian weekend in 11th place.  Together with the Italian, the Trident team is already looking forward and working to develop the car for the next round, scheduled in two weeks at Silverstone.Final Position: P11Tyres compound on grid start: Medium Prime white

 12 - RENE BINDER

Rene didn't have an aggressive run too. His start was really good and he managed to gain several positions. His pace was also high for the first half of the race, but then he started suffering from tire degradation that he was able to manage well before finishing in 15th. Lining-up at his home track, Rene hoped to get better results, but the hit from behind received yesterday made any recovery attempt extremely difficult.
