Race 1
27 - LUCA GHIOTTO
Luca's weekend started in the best possible way since practice and continued with a pole position. At the start of Race 1 he got a quick getaway although not sufficient to retain the lead, and he found himself chasing down Ocon. After a few laps, his determination and skills enabled him to go on the attack and cruise past his rival. He then increased his margin lap by lap, ending with more than 10 seconds on his closest rival.

His Colombian team-mate had some issues during practice and qualifying and had to settle for the 17th place. He started off well and managed to clinch the midpack, improving straight away up to the 13th position. He continued in his bold performance with many moves and a great pace. In the end, Oscar was able to take 9th, scoring his first points in GP3 and displaying his skills aboard his Trident-prepared car.
Final Position: P9Starting Position: P1726 - ARTUR JANOSZ
Artur Janosz was much less lucky in Race 1 at Spielberg. The Pole, who had found great chemistry with his car during qualifying, was hoping to bring home a good result. After a positive start though, Artur started to experience a weird rear end behaviour and came back to the pits. The mechanics found out that his rear wing was cracked due to a piece of debris lifted by one of the cars he had in front. Once back into the race, Janosz went off-track, puncturing a tire. He continued and crossed the line in 21st.
