Luke Mossey and the Quattro Plant TECcare Kawasaki team secured a solid ninth place in race one and 13th in the race two at round four MCE British Superbike races at the Snetterton 300 Circuit.
Luke was having a solid weekend and gained his best qualifying of the season so far with a strong eighth place. It was a frantic qualifying session and Luke rode well to get through Q1, with dark clouds looming overhead it was a mad dash in Q2 and it was important you got in a fast lap. The Quattro team got Luke out quickly and he put in a lap that put him fourth fastest before a huge rain shower drowned the circuit. Through to Q3 Luke was cautious in the drying conditions but managed a few quick laps to secure eighth.
In the first 16-lap race Luke had a steady start and held his grid position of eighth after the opening lap. For the remainder of the race he was locked in a six bike battle for fifth place, Luke really has settled into riding the Quattro Plant Teccare Kawasaki and worked hard every lap to remain consistent, making passes on Richard Cooper and the experienced Chris Walker, he made a last lap pass on Richard Cooper to take a great ninth position.
He was placed in 18th place on the grid for race two which left him with a lot of work to do, he had a steady start and avoided the carnage of the opening laps. His lap times were good and he managed to get up to 13th position but a small clutch problem hampered his progress to securing a second top ten placing.
Luke Mossey - "It was the first time since my crash at Donington that I felt comfortable on the bike and really feel like I am beginning to gel with the Superbike and how to ride it. I can't thank the Quattro Teccare team enough for all their help and support they have given me and the belief they have in me to do well.
I've never ridden a 1000 until this year and it certainly has been a big jump, I've had to change nearly everything about my riding style to adjust and learn how to ride the Kawasaki. Both races today were really good and I managed to get points in both races for the first time this year. We have made some huge progress this weekend and it has made me really excited and confident for the rest of the season. I know this year is a learning curve but with every positive that comes it is making it easier and the team are just brilliant to work with, I can't thank them enough for all the time and effort they have put in."
