Another good weekend for DAV Racing in Spa-Francorchamps for the sixth round of 2015 EuroFormula Open season.

With a three driver line-up, the Italian squad was oneof the main contenders in he event, especially in race-1 when Leonardo Pulcini climbed the 3rd step on the podium, also winning the Rookie class.

Alessio Rovera was second in this category and 6th overall, recovering from 10th.

A good performance from Parth Ghorpade who started from P18 in race 1 with a final 12th place. During Sunday qualifying Pulcini was affected by a fuel pump problem, losing the provisional pole position just few minutes before the chequered flag. With 5th place on the grid for race 2, Leonardo was just in front his teammate Rovera, starting from 4th row.

During the race, a contact on the second lap forced Alessio Rovera to stop and a few kilometers later the fuel system stopped Pulcini. Only Parth saw the finish line in 10th position, scoring  his second point of the season.

Matteo Davenia – Team Manager“I don’t know if I have to be happy for Saturday or frustrated for Sunday. We have shown another time a great potential but we didn’t gain what we deserve. Leonardo has been able to manage the early stage of race 1 taking the podium in the end. I’m also proud that our Italian drivers signed one-two in the rookie standings, but at the same time I’m sorry because Sunday we could have repeat this result. We change all the fuel system on the car of Pulcini after qualifying, but was not enough to let him finish the race. I apologize for this but was over our possibilities. Alessio had a contact in the early stage of the race and had to retire on second lap, while Parth made another consistent race finishing in point for the second time with in two rounds with us”.

Next round of EuroFormula will be home race for DAV Racing in Monza October 4.
