Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG set for Formula Masters assault at Zhuhai

After a triumphant outing at the KL City Grand Prix last month, Cebu Pacific Air by KCMG travels back to China for Formula Masters China Series’ fifth and penultimate round, which takes place at Zhuhai International Circuit from September 18 – 20. Leading the team standings with 281 points, the Hong Kong-based outfit is eyeing to seal its fourth successive victory in the hotly contested Asian entry-level formula series this weekend.

KCMG’s dominance has been deemed unstoppable, as the team maintained its winning streak since Estonian driver Martin Rump sealed his first triple victory in Formula Masters at Penbay International Circuit back in July. Together with Nicholas Rowe and Star Racing Academy drivers Jeffrey Ye, Sean Zheng and Yuan Bo, the Estonian driver, who also currently leads the overall driver standings with 191 points, are eyeing to ultimately seal the Team trophy and championship crown at Zhuhai.

Martin Rump: “Our last two weekends have been as good as it can get. We are leading the championship by some margin now and it would be nice to close the case sooner rather than later. Zhuhai seems like a good quality circuit and I’m looking forward to enjoying it.”

Nicholas Rowe: “We've had a great second half of the championship with myself taking a few podiums. The team is giving me a great car everytime and I have been working hard improving myself each time, so hopefully we can take another step on the podium this weekend at Zhuhai and move up in the championship!”

Jeffrey Ye: “I am looking forward to the race at Zhuhai race. The track is located in Guangdong Province and I’m happy to be racing on my home track. I will go all out to get the best result in this race and hope that I can make further progress this weekend.”

Sean Zheng: “The race at Zhuhai is a new challenge and I’m looking forward to deliver better results this weekend. I tested at Zhuhai before, so I know this track well. That being said, I will do my best throughout the weekend and hope I can score more points for the team.”

Yuan Bo: “I’m happy to be racing at Zhuhai this weekend. I’m aiming for a good result and I will try my best and at the same time, enjoy the race this weekend.”

John O’Hara, KCMG Deputy Managing Director: “We are almost at the end of the 2015 campaign and so far, the team has been consistently on top of the leaderboard. Our aim this weekend is to further widen our lead in the championship and ultimately achieve our goal this season, which is the Team trophy and drivers’ championship title.”
