The Ferrari 290mm hammers at $25.5m ($28m with buyer commission) even if it was - and who knows? - a pre-arranged deal, it's still a lot of money and cnfirmation that high roller collectors are still active - and certainly gives the ex Pierre Bardinon Ferrari 315 a target to aim for when it is auctioned in Paris in a few months time...
Pegaso looked "cheap" at $675k hammer - especially when you consider this car is invited to Pebble Beach next year as Pegaso are a featured marque. With 10% buyers commission - $750k for what in period was faster and more exotic than many Ferrari contemporary models seems pretty reasonable!
Racecar customer Fiskens have a Pegaso for sale if you missed out on the RM car - here >>>>Pegaso Z102 Coupe for sale at Fiskens
Do not know what the last few cars reached or whether they sold - but here's the info we have at the moment - RM usually publish results a few days after with a release.
RM SOTHEBY'S NEW YORK - DRIVEN BY DISRUPTION - NEW YORK - 10 DECEMBER 2015 - Partial results:
NB - Results are hammer prices - add buyers commission (10%? - check on their site) - (n/s) = no sale at the time of bidding - maybe some of these cars are likely to be turn into deals post sale if RM think they can make a deal between consignor and high bidder?)
