at Le Sommet des Légendes at Le Circuit Mont-TremblantHistoric Sportscar Racing (HSR) is joining the Historic Motor Sports Association (HMSA) in hosting this weekend's 12th edition of the Le Sommet des Légendes at the beautiful Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant, July 8 - 10, in the Canadian Province of Quebec.

The full-weekend event will celebrate historic and vintage race cars from the past 50 years and will showcase a remarkable lineup of featured historic Can-Am race cars.

The very first SCCA Can-Am race, the Player's 200, was held in 1966 at Mont-Tremblant.

Can-Am and SCCA Trans-Am racing legend George Follmer, who finished fifth in the inaugural 1966 Can-Am race in a Lola T70, is the Official Grand Marshal of Le Sommet des Légendes.

In addition to Can-Am, the iconic Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant course has hosted over the years the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix, Trans-Am series races and, more recently, GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series events.

The race course is located right next to the Mont-Tremblant Ski Resort and Village that keeps its spectacular facilities and five-stars and restaurants open nearly year round.

In addition to this weekend's Le Sommet Des Légendes, the Mont-Tremblant Village will be hosting an International Blues Festival with blues music artists from around the globe performing in over 100 free shows.

Following an unofficial test held today, the official three-day weekend schedule is anchored by Friday and Saturday practice and qualifying, Saturday afternoon heat races and Sunday feature races.

The Le Sommet Des Légendes featured Enduro race will be run Saturday at 4 p.m.

The competition is made up of six period-correct Run Groups, each featuring classes of race cars from various eras and disciplines from the last 50 years.

Tickets for Le Sommet Des Légendes are available at the Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant main gate ticket office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day of the event. Sunday admission is $35, Saturday is $25 and the Friday single-ticket price is $15.
