Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus prepares for this weekend's VLN race

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) will be taking on the Nurburgring once again this weekend in round 10 of the VLN championship, a series based entirely on the legendary German circuit. The team will be running one car, Macchinadue (702), with drivers Thomas Mutsch and Felipe Laser.

This race follows the teams success last month at the ‘Ring, also know as ‘The Green Hell,’ where SCG finished fourth overall against the best-known sportscar manufacturers in the world - its best result ever in an uninterrupted VLN race.

Felipe Laser said: “The target for the weekend will be the podium. We’ve made some good improvements during the season and I’m looking forward to competing against the big GT3 manufacturers for the podium.”

Thomas Mutsch said: "After the good result in VLN8 from our team mates, I´m really looking forward to the weekend! Right now the weather forecast is changing every day, but we are anyway not scared about rain as the SCG003C is great to drive in all conditions. But we have some new parts to test, so let´s hope it´s dry at least in free practice."

Programme director Paolo Garella commented: “Myself and the team are really looking forward to getting back on the track and hopefully building on our last successful result. A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes to develop the car to ensure it is in the best shape possible for this race.”

Testing takes place today between 09.30 – 15.30 and 16.30 – 18.30. Qualifying is on Saturday 22nd October from 08.30 – 10.00 with the race starting at 12.00 and finishing at 16.00.
