Quirky seventies Japanese hatchback for sale at Classic Car Auctions

Possibly one of only three left in the UK, an immaculate 1.3L Honda Civic 125 Manual goes under the hammer at Classic Car Auctions’ Sale on June 10th. Only one registered owner since leaving the Harrogate Honda dealer 39 years ago.
With just 8,600 miles on the clock, its sale estimate is £5,000 - £7,000.
An immaculate, barely used 1978 Honda Civic 1.3L is listed for auction at the Classic Car Auctions June Sale at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, near Leamington Spa, on 10th June, 2017.

With only 8,600 miles on the clock and just one registered owner since first purchased, the Elysee Bronze Civic has been so well cared for that it still has the protective plastic coverings on the door cards. The tan interior is unmarked and the car was just recently brought out of long-term storage, recommissioned, and put through its MOT.

The iconic Japanese hatchback is thought to be one of only three Civic 125 manuals left in the UK offering a real rarity factor. It was bought by its current owner from Hill & Amos in Harrogate and wouldn’t look out of place on the set of Last of the Summer Wine.

“This little Civic is spotless and comes with an extensive history file,” says consignor Nigel Gough, classic car specialist, Classic Car Auctions. “It’s quirky and rare and a perfect example of a super little seventies Japanese hatchback.”

The time-warp classic is expected to sell for between £5,000 and £7,000.

The Classic Car Auctions Sale at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, CV31 1XN, commences with an afternoon viewing on 9th June, 2017 with the auction starting the following day, June 10th, at 12:30pm.
