V-Action to race two Alfa Romeo Giuliettas TCR by Romeo Ferraris

The family of Alfa Romeo Giuliettas TCR is expanding. Along the two cars that successfully compete in the TCR International Series, the engineering based in Opera (near Milan) will see two of its Alfa Romeo Giuliettas TCR entered in the TCR Italy, in cooperation with V-Action Racing Team, in the rounds scheduled at Imola (10 September) and Monza (22 October).

The squad of Daniele and Federico Vernuccio, led by the father in his capacitiy of Team Manager, has a decade of experience in the Abarth Trophies, where it has claimed 13 titles. Together with Romeo Ferarris, V-Action Racing Team is now considering racing plans beyond the national scene in order to widen its scope of activities.

In addition to the two races in Italy (where, at Imola, will be present Joakim Darbom, the Swedish driver competing in the Trofeo Abarth Selenia and European 500 AC Champion in 2015), it is also planned to take part to the final round of the TCR ADAC Germany at Hockenheim on 24 September.

There, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR will be entrusted to the reigning Trofeo Abarth Champion, Cosimo Barberini.

Michela Cerruti, Romeo Ferraris Operations Manager
“I am delighted to announce the cooperation agreement with V-Action Racing Team for this final stretch of the 2017 season. The great interest attracted by our cars after the extraordinary successes in the TCR International Series proves the quality of our project and is a reward for everybody who work on it at Romeo Ferraris. To have the possibility to work with the Vernuccio family, whom we know well since our years in the Trofeo Abarth, represents a new exciting challenge, as we will be present in our home coutry, Italy, and in Germany, one of the most competitive series in the TCR galaxy”.

Daniele Vernuccio, V-Action Team Principal
"I am proud of the agreement reached, thanks also to the work of my son Federico and our sporting Director Pier Belli, with Michela Cerruti and Mario Ferraris who have accepted to embark with us on a project which has ambitious goals and is of mutual interest. Together, we aim at bringing the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR to new heights at national and European level".
