Strudwick excited for first pure Standard Class Moto3 race this season

For the first time this season, the Hel Performance British Moto3 Standard class will not be racing the open class machines and instead will have their own 34 competitor strong combined race with the ADAC Standard Moto3 Championship around the fast, flowing Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit. Scoring points will be awarded to both classes separately but the racing will be far closer due to the addition of the Northern European Cup.

Thomas has already raced against most of these riders in the 2015 Moriwaki Cup wildcard event at Brands Hatch and for the first time in 2 years will be back on track with them.

The weekend will see Thomas on track during Friday's practice sessions at 11.50 – 12.15 and then at 17.00 – 17.25 in the afternoon. Saturday will continue with qualifying at 10.55 – 11.20 and then a race in the afternoon at 17.20. Sunday will have morning warm-up at 09.00 – 09.08, the second race of the weekend again in that morning at 10.45 and then pit-lane walk at 11.50 – 12.25.

Thomas’ thoughts heading into round nine:
“I’m really looking forward to this weekend as I love Silverstone! It’s also brilliant we have our own race, even though our sessions aren’t the best time in the days… The addition of riders with the Northern Cup is great and I can’t wait to get out with some top class racers who I’ve raced against before. I’m looking forward to this weekend...“

Iain Hopcroft, Case Moto Rapido Moto3 team manager added:
“I can’t wait to get this weekend underway, Thomas has set himself some great goals after his experience with the Talent Cup and I look forward to telling you all about them at the end of this weekend”
