Australian Supercars return on the streets of Adelaide
After a tense title showdown drew the curtain on the 2017 season, the Australian Supercars Championship returns to Motorsport.tv this weekend, with the season opener coming live from Adelaide!

Jamie Whincup pipped Scott McLaughlin to the Drivers’ Championship in the Newcastle finale, wrapping up an incredible seventh title! McLaughlin’s efforts helped DJR Team Penske to the Teams’ Championship, an accolade the outfit will be keen to defend in 2018. The Adelaide Street Circuit takes its place at the start of the calendar once again, providing a thrilling mix of close walls and fast straights, which always offers a challenge over two 250 km races!

Argentina plays host to the MXGP & MX2 season openers
A second bout of live action comes from the first round of the 2018 FIM Motocross World Championship, from Argentina. Tony Cairoli took his ninth top-class motocross title in 2017, heading Jeffrey Herlings and Gautier Paulin in the standings. The central-Argentinian city of Neuquen has been a fixture on the calendar since 2015, with former champion Tim Gajser winning two of those races.

Peter Windsor meets Nigel Mansell & Matra take the fight to Ferrari at Le Mans 1973
In a new episode of The Windsor Interviews, Formula One personality Peter Windsor meets 1992 World Champion Nigel Mansell. Along with taking his drivers’ crown with Williams, Mansell also enjoyed success in American racing, winning the 1993 IndyCar Series, making him the only driver to simultaneously hold both titles.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans: The Great History continues this weekend, looking at the 1973 edition of the race. After their victory in 1972, Matra returned with their V12-powered MS670B, once again taking the fight to Ferrari’s trio of revised 312PBs.
