Round 1: Santa Pod Raceway, 30 March-1 April

For the first time, adverse weather conditions prevented any competition taking place at Santa Pod. Friday’s and Saturday’s qualifying sessions were rained off completely, while Sunday was mostly dry but cold.

With the new track surface still untested by vehicles of this level of power – also owing to recent weather events – an emergency plan to conduct a single Sunday morning qualifying session followed by eliminations was deemed unsafe.
