HubAuto Corsa has confirmed its driver line-up for this year’s Blancpain GT Series Asia campaign after announcing that Morris Chen and Tim Slade, as well as Nick Foster and Leo Ye Hongli, will race a pair of Ferrari 488 GT3s.

The team – Taiwan’s first-ever full-season Blancpain GT Series Asia entry – originally revealed its GT3 plans in early February and has now added further details following a one-off appearance at Shanghai last season.

2018 sees the team switch from Porsche to Ferrari, with two 488 GT3s scheduled to tackle all six rounds.

Team principal Morris Chen, who contested both Super Taikyu and China GT last season, forms one half of HubAuto Corsa’s Pro/Am crew. He’s joined by Virgin Australia Supercars Championship race winner Tim Slade whose racing CV also includes several GT3 appearances at the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

Slade’s Supercars commitments will force him to miss Blancpain GT Series Asia’s event at Fuji due to a clash with the Ipswich SuperSprint round. HubAuto Corsa will announce his replacement at a later date.

Meanwhile, the team’s Silver Cup-entered Ferrari features two drivers with existing Blancpain GT Series Asia experience. 2015 Porsche Carrera Cup champion Nick Foster starred during his part-season with Craft-Bamboo Racing in 2017 thanks to a pole position and two podiums from six races, while his Chinese team-mate Leo Ye Hongli set fastest lap of the race during HubAuto’s Blancpain GT Series Asia debut at Shanghai in 2017.

The opening round of this year’s six-round, 12-race campaign begins at Sepang in Malaysia this weekend (April 14/15) before the series travels to Thailand, Japan and China.
